Do You Have Obstructive Sleep Apnea?

Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a serious disorder caused when your breathing is interrupted during sleep. It’s commonly caused when the soft tissues in the back of the throat collapse during sleep. It’s often marked by snoring.

People with OSA often feel sleepy during the day and sometimes are unable to concentrate. If left untreated, OSA can result in a number of health problems like high blood pressure, heart failure, and diabetes.

At Mid-Michigan Dental Excellence, our staff has the training and tools to diagnose and treat sleep apnea. Call 989-796-4848 to set up a consultation with Dr. McDonald if you suspect you might have OSA. You can also use our online form to contact us at our dentist office in Alma, MI.
